1991 Custom Pilot Sloop Gilford NH

    This is a custom built 20 foot Stadel sloop, full keel, gaff rigged sloop. This boat was designed by George Stadel, and built by Richard Jones in NY. This boat shows beautiful craftsmanship, and is a sound and solid sailing boat. The construction is strip planked mahogany, on a white oak backbone and frame. The entire hull was epoxy sealed, and has a glass exterior finish below the water line.
    The rigging on the Shooting Star is heavy standing rigging, a sitka spruce mast, with a tabernacle step on the deck. It has lazy jacks on the mainsail for easy of handling. Its auxiliary power is an inboard 2004 Yanmar 2GM diesel motor. The Shooting Star has been consistently maintained, with refurbishing done in 2000, and 2004. Replacing toe rails, as well as coamings and cabin floors. Bronze ports were added as in upgrade as well.
